Acceptance is the first step in parenting your teens. You need to accept their situation—their insecurities and confusion. They will question you and rebel for no reason. Hence, you need to give love and support to them. Giving them space and allowing them to take more responsibilities make them feel that they are part of the family and they are being respected.

Taking time to listen to your teens is the next step. Instead of giving advice, it is more important to listen to them so we can understand their actions and recognize their feelings and emotions. Thus, you need to treat them like adult by asking their opinions and encouraging them to solve problems with you to make them more confident and secured.
